Discussing Hands

*Players are not allowed to discuss hands while the hand is in play.

Cards Speak

*The value of a hand is what the cards show, not what the player announces. Although a player deliberately and repetitively miscalling his hand with the intention of fooling other players can be penalized.

Deck Changes

*Players are allowed to ask for deck changes.

String Bet

*No string bets allowed. When raising, a player must either put the amount of the raise out in one motion or state the raise amount. If the raise is unannounced then the raise must be made in one motion. If the raise is announced but no amount is announced “I raise” then the amount of the raise must be in one motion. If both the raise and the amount are announced "I raise 600" then the player can make several motions to put chips into the pot since there is no question about the details.

Tables Stakes

*Only the amount of chips the player has at the start of a hand is the amount available to wager.

Cheating

*Anyone caught cheating will be kicked out of the game.

Unprotected Hands

*If a dealer kills an unprotected hand, the player cannot do anything about it because it is his responsibility to protect his cards. An exception would be if a player raised and his raise had not been called yet, he would be entitled to receive his raise back.

*Only English may be spoken at the table.

Verbal Declarations

*If a player verbally announces a move then he will be required to play according to his verbal declarations - even if he has not moved his chips.

Showing Hands - When All-in

*When a player is all-in, he has to show his cards at the show down.

Showing Hands - Who Shows First.

*At the showdown: If everyone checks, then everyone must show their hand - in the order according to the button. If there is betting on the final round, then the player who puts in the final bet has to show first and the callers show next - in line with the the button.

Showing Hands - Showing Your Cards To Others

*At the showdown: You are not allowed to show your cards to another player. If you show your cards to 1 player then you need to show them to all players, whether it is during a hand or after.

Showing Hands - Asking To See Other Players Cards

*At the showdown: A player may ask to see another players mucked cards if he thinks there has been cheating going on. If a player does it too much then it will be ruled that he is abusing the rule in order to unfairly get information about another player.

Showing Hands - Just Showing One

*At the showdown: You must show both cards in order to win the pot.

Killing Hands of Absent Players

*A player must be at the table at the end of the showdown in order to have his hand live. If he is not AT the table when the last card is dealt to the button, the dealer will kill his hand. If the dealer does not kill the hand, it will still be considered dead. If he is the blind, his bet will be posted and his hand dead.

Rabbit Hunting

*Rabbit hunting is allowed if all the players in the hand agree to it.

Dealing

*The player on the button will be dealing the cards unless the player is not present to do so at that time or all the players at the table agree to a designated dealer.

Misdeals

1.  The following circumstances cause a misdeal, provided attention is called to the error before two players have acted on their hands. (If two players have acted in turn, the deal must be played to conclusion, as explained in rule #2)

          * The first or second card of the hand has been dealt faceup or exposed through dealer error.

          * Two or more cards have been exposed by the dealer.

          * Two or more boxed cards (improperly faced cards) are found.

          * Two or more extra cards have been dealt in the starting hands of a game.

          * An incorrect number of cards has been dealt to a player, except the top card may be dealt if it goes to the player in proper sequence.

          * Any card has been dealt out of the proper sequence (except an exposed card may be replaced by the burncard).

          * The button was out of position.

          * The first card was dealt to the wrong position.

          * Cards have been dealt to an empty seat or a player not entitled to a hand.

          * A player has been dealt out who is entitled to a hand. This player must be present at the table or have posted a blind or ante.

 2. Once action begins, a misdeal cannot be called. The deal will be played, and no money will be returned to any player whose hand is fouled. In button games, action is considered to occur when two players after the blinds have acted on their hands. In stud games, action is considered to occur when two players after the forced bet have acted on their hands.

Dead Hands

*There are cards missing from the deck.

Dead Button - Small Blind Busts Out

*If the small blind busts out then the original dealer who dealt the hand is dealer again and the blinds are posted accordingly.

Dead Button - Big Blind Busts Out

*If the big blind busts out then the current big blind will post their money as usual and there is a dead small blind.

Minimum Raise

*The minimum amount of a raise must be the amount of the previous raise, not the amount of the previous bet. If the blinds are 100 and 200 and the opener raises to 600. If the next player wants to raise, then the minimum raise is now TO 1,000. Because the previous raise was 400. The mimimum re-raise must now be 400.

Pots

*A player can only win from each player as many chips as he bets. This is called a main pot. A side pot is created with any subsequent bets.

All-In On A Blind

*The blinds are 500 and 1,000. The player who is going to post the big blind has 400 in chips. Another player raises to 1,000 and the small blind calls. There is a main pot of 1,200 (400+400+400) and a side pot of 1,200 (600+600).

Seating

*Each table will seat a maximum of 10 players. Players will be distributed evenly between all the tables.

Seat Selection

*Players my sit where ever they like unless the tables need to be balanced.

Arriving Late

*Any player arriving late will post a penalty equal to the number of rounds missed. No late arrivals will be accepted after round 4.

Drawing For The Button

*Players will draw one card each to determine who gets the button with the Ace of Spades being the highest card and the ranking of suits being the tie breakers. Spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs in that order.

Button Position

*In a tourney you can never miss the BB so the button has to be adjusted. If there are 3 players left and the dealer gets eliminated then the button is placed after putting the BB in the right place. The next player due the BB gets the BB and the other player gets the button and the small blind. In heads-up play with two blinds, the small blind is on the button.

Tourney Ties

*If two players (or more) are in-the-money in a tournament and they go all-in and both get knocked out then the player with the most chips will place higher than the player with less chips. If they both have an equal number of chips and both get knocked out then they will finish in a tie.

Moving Players

*When the difference in the number of players is greater than 1 then a player must move from the bigger table to the smaller table. It should be the player who is on the Big Blind.

Color Up

*The lowest denomination of chip in play will be removed from the table when it is no longer needed in the blind or ante structure.

Bet Sizes

*An oversized chip before the flop is a call and after the flop an oversized chip by the initial bettor put in the pot will constitute the size of the bet.
