Our two entrepreneurs driving home from a weekend in Atlantic City...
Gary: "There are so many things wrong with the poker league we play in now."
Nick: "I know. It's a great way to play poker, with new people and old friends while enjoying some drinks and food at our favorite bars. But I think we can do it better."
Gary: "We definitely can do it better."
Nick (grinning): "We will do it better."
Gary (same grin): "I have no doubt we will."
That car ride home was certainly worth the money left at the tables in Atlantic City because what came from it was a great opportunity to fix the flaws of other poker leagues in the District.
District Pokers' (DP) aims to give its’ players more than just a typical night out at the bars and provides our players’ with innovative ways of keeping the game fresh. We use our own, proprietary software [mp1] and attempt to improve upon already existing poker leagues, so that the host bar and DP’s players end up having a uniquely professional and fun experience. District Poker also offers lessons to new players who wish to learn to play Texas Hold’em. We encourage feedback from our players and constantly strive to improve players’ experience. Players who attend games automatically enter the District Poker League and start collecting points through which they can win prizes and invitations to regional and national poker tournaments. District Poker is also available to help groups host private events as well as charity tournaments.
